    Samui residents are calling on police to locate and arrest a naked foreign tourist who was photographed hugging Hin Ta rock, which is regarded by local residents as a symbol of Koh Samui in Surat Thani. The photos show the unidentified woman walking around and hugging the rock, which resembles a phallus, to pose for photos. They were posted on the Facebook group of local residents

    Thailand’s ban on bars and entertainment venues allowing punters to play darts is now in affect nationwide. In January, officials in Pattaya raided bars along Soi 6 to confiscate the ‘illegal’ dart boards.Bar owners and staff were told that venues must now have a dart board license if they wanted to be able to allow customers to play the popular pastime on their premises.

The revised regulations were issued by Thailand’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and apply to Phuket Province.     From 400 to 500 kilograms of garbage had been washed by waves onto a beach on Koh Rung in the Mu Koh Chang National Park in Trat each morning during the past week, the park chief said today (Monday). Kosit Nilrat said he had assigned 17 officials to clean up the beach at Ao Bor of Koh Rung every morning for more than a week. The garbage, which landed along a 300 metre stretch of beach, mostly comprised plastic bags, plastic bottles and plastic bins dumped by humans into the sea

    The owner of a sinking garbage boat near Koh Phi Phi in Krabi has been told by harbour officials today (Monday) to fix it as quickly as possible amid fears it would pollute the water. The boat, Chachandee, which measures 23 x 4 metres, slipped off its anchor at a bay in front of Koh Phi Phi in Tambon Ao Nang, Muang district on Sunday and was carried by the tide to rocks, which cracked its hull, causing the water to pour in.

    A 25 year old Argentinian man, Nahum Pedre, was arrested yesterday (March 11) in Rawai after robbing Chinese tourists twice.
