The man’s body was floating 4 kilometres offshore and assessed as having been dead for at least four days.

  • Bangkok cabbie gets surrounded by a gaggle of Pattaya taxi drivers

    A Bangkok taxi driver had just dropped off his passenger to an address on Prathumnak Hill, Pattaya, when a woman by the side of the road hailed him. 40 year old Thipcharoen Phochanote, the driver, stopped to find out where she wanted to go. Pattaya News reports that he was then approached by another Pattaya taxi driver who enquired what he was doing on ‘their’ turf.

  • Woman drowns in underpass nearby her home

    A Bangkok motorist has drowned this morning after her pickup stalled in rapidly rising floodwaters in an underpass leading to her housing estate, engulfing the vehicle. Rescue workers from the Por Tek Tueng Foundation arrived soon after 2am near the Airport Rail Link’s Ban Thap Chang station

  • Police hunting for thieves after break-ins at Phuket shops

    Police are hunting for thieves who broke into three shops in Suan Luang Market in Phuket Town this morning. The Phuket City Police were notified about incidents at the Suan Laung Market on Wirat Hongyok Road in Phuket Town around 8.30am.

  • 10 arrested over sharing content about alleged Koh Tao rape case

    10 people are now reported to be in custody for sharing posts from a Facebook page claiming that a British 19 year old was drugged and raped on Koh Tao. The 10 now in police custody have residence in Udon Thani, Bangkok, Nakhon Ratchasima, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, Pattalung and Chiang Mai. The arrests followed the Court issuing an arrest warrant at the request of police.

    Two people have been injured whilst three vehicles have been damaged in an accident after a husband, who saw his wife with other man in a car, chased and tried to stop them. The wife didn’t stop leading to a collision yesterday (September 5).

  • Facebook spends $1.4 billion in its first Asian data centre in Singapore

    Facebook has announced it’s going to construct a $1.4 billion data centre in Singapore. It will be Facebook’s first in Asia and 15th in the world. The tech giant say it will be built in Tanjong Kling, formerly known as Data Centre Park.

  • Elon Musk accuses cave rescuer of being a ‘child rapist’

    Elon Musk, the man behind the Tesla electric car and a billion dollar tech empire, has again attacked the British Chiang Rai resident who was part of the large international effort to rescue the Mu Pa 13 from the Tham Luang Caves in July. In an email to BuzzFeed News, the Tesla CEO launched into his third verbal assault on Vernon Unsworth accusing him, without zero evidence, of being a ‘child rapist’.

  • Trang councillor arrested over roadwork attacks

    A member of the Trang Provincial Administration Council and another Trang resident were brought in for questioning to a military camp yesterday morning (Wednesday). Police say it’s part of the investigation into a case in which unknown assailants burned two road construction machines on the night of July 14 and opened fired on its workers on July 16. The 56 year old councillor Jareuk Tamang, who was accused of being behind the attacks, was arrested at his home, which was one of the 10 targeted locations in Tambon Na Bin La of Muang Trang that were raided by nearly 100 police and soldiers at 6am.
