    Anti-military rap song tops iTunes Thailand downloads

    An anti-military dictatorship rap song has topped Thailand’s download list on iTunes after police and the government threatened legal action against the Rap Against Dictatorship (RAD) group. The Prathet Goo Mee (My F…king Country’s Got…) went to the top of Thailand’s iTunes download list this morning to the cheers of RAD who posted a message to thank its fans. The music video was uploaded to YouTube last Monday.

    PHOTOS: Thalang Police One motorbike driver has died whilst two others have been injured in motorbikes accidents in Thalang last night. The first accident accident occurred at 7.10pm in front of a restaurant on Srisoonthorn Road in Thalang. Police and rescue workers arrived to find a motorbike and two injured – the male driver, 27 year old Piyakan Uppala from Sakon Nakhon, and and a passenger, 33 year old Worayut Nuanpuriwan from Kalasin

    Phuket police are continuing to hunt for three suspects who were involved in breaking through a checkpoint and an ensuing chase from Rassada to Chalong on Monday.     Darasamut Underpass to be temporary closed

    The Phuket Highway Office has issued an announcement that says the Darasamut Underpass (adjacent to the Central shopping precinct) will be closed from 9am to 3pm on Tuesday, October 30. The announcement says, “The underpass will be temporary closed. Workers will be carrying out repairs of the electrical systems and cleaning the underpass.” “We apologise for any inconvenience during the maintenance works.” The announcement doesn’t say if the entire underpass will be closed in both directions for the time but they usually only block off one direction, complete the work then open it up and close off the other lane.
