He was 89. Anderson, of Hampshire in southern England, was the stunt double for Darth Vader in ‚Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back‘ and ‚Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi‘, being one of the seven people who portrayed the famous sci-fi villain.

    PHUKET: A young Russian woman died when her motorbike was hit by a car early yesterday, making her the sixth road accident fatality in the first four days of the “Seven Days of Danger” holiday road-safety campaign in Phuket. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Phuket Office (DDPM-Phuket) identified the deceased as 26-year-old Elena Kireeva. According to DDPM-Phuket, Ms Kireeva’s motorbike was hit by a Mitsubishi Pajero on Chao Fa West Rd in Wichit at about 6:30pm.

The company’s billionaire co-owner Mikhail Prokhorov spoke on national television on Tuesday to confirm that the first Yo-hybrid is scheduled to come out on sale in December 2012. Prokhorov had said in previous announcements that the goal is to manufacture and offer an eco-friendly vehicle for under $10,000 (approximately 31,650 Thai Baht).
