    Darasamut Underpass to close temporarily for repairs

    The Phuket Highway Office has issued an announcement that says the Darasamut Underpass (adjacent to Central Festival) will be closed from 9am to 3pm on Thursday (September 27). About 30 tonnes of trash is added to the garbage disposal plant of the island. The island has an incinerator to help with the disposal of the stinking mess but, you guessed it, it hasn’t been working for a while

But it wasn’t going to be a normal drive to meet the Governor today.     A Phuket woman has been arrested with 20,772 of methamphetamine pills and 73.43 grams of crystal methamphetamine in Chalong. A team of patrol police arrested 39 year old Jiraphon ‘Sao’ Chauykerd.

    MP numbers being shuffled around in lead up to Thai election

    Some of Thailand’s key political parties are set to see a significant reduction in MPs after new regulations were issued reducing the number of constituency candidates. For instance, Pheu Thai Party’s strongholds – the North and the Northeast – will lose 13 seats in Parliament, while the Democrat Party could lose six MPs, as the number of seats in the South and Bangkok has been reduced by three each. Political analyst Stithorn Thananithichot said no parties were gaining an upper hand at this stage, adding that the impact of gerrymandering would only surface once the exact electoral boundaries are drawn

    Chinese tourists injured in Phuket minivan accident
