Officials seize decorative corals in Chatuchak, Bangkok
Thai PBS are reporting that police and officials in Bangkok have swooped on shops in Chatuchak, in Bangkok’s northern suburbs, and seized a substantial haul of decorative corals and coralline algae. A member of the Yiew Dong (forest hawk) task force of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, said the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment received lots of complaints from the public about several shops in the Chatuchak area selling banned marine products such as corals and coralline algae as well as protected wildlife species

Rassada phone robbers arrested – 31 phones recovered
The two phone shop robbers have been arrested today (April 18) after robbing more than 60 phones. The phone shop in Rassada named ‘No.1’ was robbed on April 10 by 38 year old Chok-Anan Chaisongkram and his brother-in-law, Leng Permthong

Mobile phone shop robbery in Rassada
70 Mobile phones and 7,000 Baht in cash were robbed from a mobile phone shop named No.1 in Rassada. The robber also took away the CCTV camera in the shop and covered the one outside the shop. However, the robber dropped a knitted hat at the scene.

Fire in Phuket town destroys four houses
Another fire following a string of fires over the past week in Phuket. The fire started in a sofa shop near Komarapat Intersection in Phuket Town and has destroyed four houses causing damage valued at approximately 1 million Baht. Before noon today (February 15), Muang Phuket Police received a report about a fire on the side of Thepkasattri Road, near the Komarapat Intersection.
