Ship owner fined 50,000 baht for chemical fire at Laem Chabang port
The Port Authority of Thailand has slapped a 50,000 baht fine on the South Korean owner of a container ship which caught fire at the Laem Chabang deep-sea port on Saturday morning, causing a chemical fire and smoke blanketing surrounding communities. Laem Chabang is just north of Pattaya fronting the Gulf of Thailand.

Pattaya ladyboys nabbed for stealing credit cards from South Korean tourist
A pair of ladyboys have been nabbed for allegedly stealing a wallet with three credit cards from a South Korean tourist in Pattaya. The two suspects were identified as 33 year old Sawarin Silaket and 35 year old Onkaew Homdok . Pattaya police chief Pol Colonel Prawit Chorseng said the arrest was made after 44 year old Hojun Cho filed a complaint with police Sunday morning, reporting that his wallet was stolen.

Two shot in Phuket Town beauty spa this morning
A South Korean man and Thai woman have been injured in spa shooting in Phuket Town. The two sustained serious injuries from bullet wounds after having been shot at the spa in Wichit today. Wichit Police reports that they was notified of an incident at ‘The Beauty Spa’ in Wichit at 10.30am this morning

Taxi driver arrested for cheating South Korean tourist in Bangkok – VIDEO
A taxi driver in Bangkok has been arrested after allegedly intimidating and overcharging a South Korean tourist passenger. The arrest from Tourist Police follows a user tagging the Tourist Police Bureau in a post in his Facebook post accusing a taxi driver of allegedly intimidating and overcharging the South Korean passenger using the taxi service from Siam Square to Rangsit in Pathum Thani (just north of Bangkok). The cabbie charged him 700 baht, almost double the estimated fare.
