Seaman dies in hotel after taking Viagra
A 58 year old man who worked on fishing boats was found dead in a Sichon, Nakhon Si Thammarat hotel room. The Sichon station chief Pol Col Chokedee Rakwatanapong told Sanook that the man’s name was Suthep, a widower who was often away fishing at sea for extended periods. Trang shipping container retrieval will resume tomorrow
The Trang Harbour Office says the operation to retrieve 16 containers that fell off a cargo ship in the sea off Trang province would resume again tomorrow (Monday). Commander Chatkul Wanitchanat, director of the Trang Harbour Office, says the operator of the MV.NP Love Gistic 2 ship could not find a crane on the barge to pull the containers out of the sea hence fishing boats will be needed to tow them instead

Three people have been injured following suspected insurgent attacks in the South yesterday. Explosives were placed in or near to ATM machines and bank branches in 14 locations in Yala, Songkhla, Pattani and Narathiwat.

Gulf of Thailand battered – heading towards the Andaman Sea, north of Phuket
(There is an update from the TMD at the bottom of this article – the tropical depression is weakening as it moves across the landmass from Gulf of Thailand towards the Andman Sea, north of Phuket) A severe weather warning was issued for the South Eastern Region on Monday, as the Meteorological Department forecast heavy rain for the entire region, while banana farmers in Songkhla were already suffering gale-force winds caused by Typhoon Damrey. The South Eastern Meteorological Centre warned of a strong low depression over the Southern Region that had caused heavy rain in the entire Eastern coast of the Southern Region and were likely to continue until at least Tuesday. People in the whole of the South Eastern Region were also warned to prepare for possible flash floods
