Thai-Canadian Paweensuda ‘Fahsai’ Drouin has been crowned Miss Thailand Universe 2019. Judges chose 26 year old Paweensuda, 26 from more than 50 other contestants in the pageant’s final round at the Thunder Dome in Bangkok last night (Saturday). Miriam Sornprommas was first runner-up and Thanatchaphon Boonsang second runner-up. Paweensuda is 180 centimetres tall, was born and raised in Canada and her father is Canadian (which makes her Canadian?)
400,000+ items of ‘fake’ Botox, stem cells and breast enhancement injectables, valued at an estimated 80 million baht, have been seized by DSI (Department of Special Investigation) and officials from the Food and Drug Administration and the Department of Intellectual Property from 12 locations around Bangkok. The investigation, culminating in Wednesday’s seizures, have been going for two years as officials followed the money trails of the beauty enhancement network involved in the import of the fake or sub-standard products. Thai PBS reports that the dodgy beauty enhancement products were offered through Instagram and Line accounts to customers and through ‘beauty clinics’ specifically set up to sell the fake medications and materials.

She posted a screenshot of an email in which the company said “sorry but we don’t accept type two women” (‘Type Two Women’ is the term used in Thai language for ladyboys.) Reaction from friends and netizens was swift – they asked… “What era is this?” condemning the email and the company. One poster said that they should be glad they turned them down – they are clearly not a professional company, reported Sanook
