Tourists and local residents in Old Phuket Town will be freed from cigarette smoke – starting with the popular Sunday night market.” “In addition, we are enforcing the new Tobacco Products Control Act 2017 which states that there will be no smoking in a public area.

    A Burmese national killed another Myanmar man saying that he “was angry that his father was slapped on the face” yesterday (June 10). Phuket City Police were notified of an incident at a rented property in Rassada yesterday afternoon. Police and rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the body of a 37 year old La, a Burmese national lying face up on the ground.  Stab wounds were found around his neck, chest and body.

    PHUKET: Heavy pollution in the waterways throughout Phuket Town has prompted officials to lay down the law against all restaurants that do not install grease traps.     PHUKET: An investigation is underway after a man’s body was found floating at the Yod Duangporn fishing port in Rassada yesterday morning. The body bore a 10cm wound to the scalp, stretching from the middle of the forehead to the top if the head, said Lt Col Watcharapong Praiphun of the Phuket City police. “The man was wearing a medallion with Mon writing on it, leading us to believe he was a Myanmar national.
