Buffalo smiles end up in tears
by Thanapol Saengthong and Kornkamon Aksorndech Surat Paewkate, the 34 year old Chai Nat farmer who famously made headlines for his unusual friendship with a five year old buffalo called Thong Kham, has been separated from his four-legged best mate yesterday when police took the animal away over allegations that Surat had used this “friendship” to get money from others. Chai Nat is a province north of Bangkok.

Phuket joined the Life Saving World Championship 2018 in Australia
Athletes who were heading to the Life Saving World Championship , in Australia over the past week, met with the Phuket Governor Pakkapong Tawipat before heading to the event. The President of the Phuket Association, Anupohn Arunrat, led athletes, who have been competing in the Life Saving World Championship 2018 at Glenelg, Adelaide from November 19 to 26, to meet with the Phuket Governor Pakkapong Tawipat for encouragement before jumping on the plane and taking the flight south to Adelaide. Khun Anuphon has also been a great supporter for Phuket life saving participating in the competition and helped to raise support for the team to make the trip

Burmese baby killed in Phuket Town road accident
A four month old Burmese baby girl died after a motorbike collided with a tour bus yesterday. Phuket City Police were notified of the accident on the main Phuket Road in Phuket Town at 5pm

For the teenagers who have more on their mind than floating a Krathong tonight… Teenagers are being warned not to engage in inappropriate sexual behaviour or unsafe sex during the Loy Krathong Festival. The Public Health Ministry’s Department of Health deputy chief Dr Bancha Khakhong says that young people usually release flowery floats into rivers and water sources at night during the festival and then hang out or attend booze-drinking parties.
