A blind man has jumped to his death from the rooftop of a seven-floor apartment building in Bangkok’s Lat Phrao district after his wife, who is also reported to be blind, had recently separated from him. Chok Chai police station was alerted at 10am today about the incident at an apartment building on Soi Lat Phrao-Wang Hin. The man has yet to be identified as police found no identification on him

Thai Foreign Ministry officials are working with French authorities to assist the wife of a Thai tourist who was among three people killed by a gunman last night at a famous Strasbourg Christmas market in France. A Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Busadee Santipitaksat says the Thai embassy in Paris had reported the death of 45 year old Anupong Suebsamarn, and contacted his wife, Naiyana, to offer help.
A Cambodian couple, engaged in a legal battle with relatives, yesterday filed a complaint against two Thai police officers in Bangkok. Baby-clothing exporter 43 year old Sing Thea and his wife Chean Kallyan say their previous accusation – that their relatives had embezzled 18 million baht – had been handled by the Thai officers in question. This had resulted in a counter-suit against the couple, who were then charged with filing a false police complaint and each had to pay a 140,000 baht bail bond.
Wichit Police brought the 46 year old ex-husband murderer (he has confessed to the crime), Winit Kumkrong, to the crime scene for a re-enactment this morning (March 9). He said that his ex-wife tried to drive over him with the car which, he says, was the motivation that led to the murder.
