At this stage the man has already paid over 100,000 baht for the boys’s treatment. The 3 year old, Namning, is still receiving daily treatment for his wounds after falling over and being mauled by Praphan Phromprasert’s ten dogs outside the man’s home.

    PHOTOS: CNN.com, The National, Amazon.com On June 23 2018, the world first heard about the disappearance of 12 Thai boys, the young Mu Pa football team and their assistant coach, in a cave system in Chiang Rai, northern Thailand. “When the cave was unexpectedly flooded, the boys, aged between 11 and 16, and 24 year old Ekapol “Coach Ek” Jantawong, were trapped deep inside, with no means of communication with the outside world.

    In the wake of 13 of their young footballers being rescued from the Tham Luang caves, TNA reports that some of the world’s biggest football clubs are showing interest in actually buying the Mu Pa football academy. But the club’s vice president and manager Kittipong Intaechai says, despite the interest, his club is not for sale at any price. Mr Intaechai notes the purpose of the academy is to help improve the lives of local boys in Chiang Rai through playing football, not to make money. Mr Intaechai is also warning the public about buying ‘Wild Boar’ souvenirs. In the aftermath of the rescue many souvenirs have been created that include the logo and name of the Wild Boar team.

    SCREENSHOT: ABC News report Whilst the opportunist American ABC TV reporter didn’t break any laws with his interview on Friday with the youngest of the Mu Pa Academy youngsters, he did break a pact between the Chiang Rai Governor, physicians and child psychologists who asked that the media leave the boys alone. Today CNN is reporting that Thailand is accusing foreign media of behaving irresponsibly by interviewing members of the young football team who were trapped in a flooded cave for two weeks before their ‘against the odds’ rescue. Tawatchai Thaikyo, the Deputy Permanent Secretary for Justice said in a Facebook post,”I was saddened that the foreign media, whom we assumed understood children’ rights very well as well as the procedures for protecting children and minors, but their standards have turned out to be unexpectedly substandard.” CNN reports that the Chiang Rai Province released a statement announcing that the Governor, Prachon Prachsakul, had assigned a task force to “discuss measures to protect the Wild Boar’s football team’s child rights, under the nation’s Child Protection Act.” Read the CNN report HERE .

    PHOTOS: The Nation The Mu Pa Academy team and their assistant coach yesterday fronted the media as a group for the first and last time last night in Chiang Rai in a carefully staged media event. Questions from local and international media were carefully vetted before being addressed to the team members who, all dressed in match team T Shirts, appeared very relaxed and at ease. The group also expressed their gratitude to Lt-Commander Saman Kunan, a former Thai Navy SEAL, who lost his life during the marathon operation to extricate the team from the cave.
