PHUKET: Another forged goods raid was conducted in Phuket this weekend, this time at the Naka market in Vichit. Police seized 485 pieces of pirated goods worth 500,00 baht on Saturday evening.

In Southeast Asia, data from those assisted by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) show that the region is a hotbed of trafficking, accounting for a quarter of all cross-border cases identified worldwide
PHUKET: An illegal Korean tour guide was arrested at Koh Racha Yai yesterday for allowing Korean tourists to feed fish. Kanchit Klingclip, a business operator and conservationist on Racha Island, posted a video clip on line showing the tour guide taking tourists to dive and feed fish, which is a violation of the law under the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR).

PHUKET: Lifeguards have once again strongly urged tourists to swim with caution and never disobey red-flags after four tourists were safely rescued from strong waves at Nai Harn Beach yesterday.

PHUKET: A 68-year-old Australian tourist was attacked by a stray dog in Khao Lak yesterday afternoon. Janet Frances Heath was on her way back from Sairoong waterfall with her husband when the incident occurred.
