PHUKET: Representatives of the Rawai and Nai Harn Business Community, along with staff and other members of the southern Phuket area, are invited to take part in the Nai Harn Beach cleanup from 3pm to 5pm today.

PHUKET: The Phuket Dinghy Series 2015 wrapped up off the coast of Cape Panwa recently, with Optimist and Laser sailors competing from Phuket and Songkla. A total of 53 young sailors joined the competition in stiff winds and manageable swells. Among the Optimists, male sailors from the Phuket Youth Sailing Club (PYSC) took the three top places, with Nattapong Yongram claiming overall winner.
PHUKET: The Karon Municipality is preparing a team of divers to undertake a cleanup operation after a Facebook video revealed an enormous field of rubbish in the waters near Karon Stadium.

PHUKET: Differences in source markets and government spending have forced Bali and Phuket to take dramatically different approaches to adjusting to the recent tourism climate with regards to balancing occupancy and rates. Hotels and resorts in Bali have taken a mostly unified approach by holding rates and allowing occupancy to dip.
