Buri Ram teacher probed after boy’s beating
A Buri Ram school has set up a committee to investigate a parent’s allegation that one of its teachers made a Prathom 6 pupil do 50 jumping jacks in the hot sun and then whipped him 10 times with a wooden stick wrapped in duct tape. The 12 year old’s mother revealed Friday’s incident and says her son had merely failed to recite a multiplication table. Violent tuk-tuk driver faces charges over incident at Chiang Mai airport – VIDEO
A tuk-tuk driver who led a blockade of a Grab taxi at Chiang Mai International Airport on Monday has no public-transport driving licence and will face several charges following the incident, which was exposed by a foreign visitor. The Chiang Mai Land Transport Office and the Chiang Mai police head office met today to plan legal actions after @Winston Vaduz posted a video clip on the Chiang Mai CM108 Facebook page to expose the incident at the airport. The tourist made the post on Monday under the topic “Welcome to Chiang Mai?” The clip showed six male and female tuk-tuk drivers surrounding and kicking a private car, forcing a man and a woman – both foreigner visitors – to leave the vehicle. The couple eventually decided to walk out of the airport.

Three injured in Phuket wedding party fight
Three men have sustained injures after a fight at a wedding party in Koh Sirey early this morning (July 17). The Phuket City Police were notified of the incident at 2am at Baan Laem Tukkae in Koh Sirey. Local residences told police, when they arrived, that the two people injured had already been taken to the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation Hospital (PPAO Hospital) were Mr O Pramongkit and Mr Panya hadsustained injures from cut wounds.

Two charged over Chinese tourist assault
Two men have been charged with assault after they attacked two Chinese tourists following an argument on a speed boat yesterday (June 13). The arrests come after a video clip went viral in social along with a headline ‘Yunnan tour guide hit Chinese tourists at Nontasak Pier.’ The Phuket Provincial Police Commander Maj Gen Teeraphol Tipjaroen has ordered an investigation into the incident.
