Mu Pa football team helps recover equipment from Tham Luang Caves
PHOTOS: The Chiang Rai PR Office The 27 year old Coach Aek (left), and other members from the Mu Pa (Wild Boar) football squad, were on hand to help recover equipment from the Tham Luang Caves this week. Chiang Rai’s Tham Luang caves, the scene of the international cave rescue last July, remains closed to all visitors since February 19 to allow Thai Navy SEALs to enter and recover equipment left in the five kilometre cave network after the rescue mission. French man and two others killed in Rawai motorbike accident, Phuket
Three people have died and another sustained serious injuries following the collision of two motorbikes in Rawai early yesterday morning (Tuesday). The accident happened on Viset Road in front of a public health centre at 1.30am. The Honda Wave motorbike driver was 37 years old Siripong Mulikkabut.

UPDATE: The suspect in this morning’s shootings, 53 year old Chana Rodket from Songkhla, has shot and killed himself in Saphan His this afternoon. He was a housekeeper a the beauty spa where the shooting took place. Earlier, a South Korean man and Thai woman were injured in a shooting at a beauty spa near Naka Market in Phuket Town.

Ten-wheeler blacks out Bangkok neighbourhood
by Kornkamon Aksorndech Businesses and homes in Bangkok’s Lat Krabang area, east of the city centre, have been without electricity this morning after a 10-wheel truck got tangled in power lines on Ramkhamhaeng Soi 129 shortly after 9am. The Metropolitan Electricity Authority officials had the downed lines reconnected within three or four hours and replaced a utility pole that was knocked over without disrupting traffic. Police have questioned witnesses and the truck driver, whose name has not been released at this stage. The driver will be held responsible for the property damage.
