Assets valued at 39 million baht seized in Magic Skin case
And there’s more to come, according to investigators… The AMLO (Anti-Money Laundering Office) seized 19 million baht cash and two luxury cars in the ‘Magic Skin’ scandal. The seizure was ordered after they allegedly supplied sub-standard cosmetics and weight- loss products. The AMLO have also seized two luxury cars worth 10 million baht each.

Cave-rescue mural now moved to official Tham Luang memorial
by Natthawat Laping The large mural depicting “The Heroes” from the dramatic cave rescue in Chiang Rai in June/July this year has now been installed at the new memorial pavilion at the mouth of the Tham Luang cave. The 14×3 metre canvas was moved from Wat Rong Khun this morning, along with another two paintings of the smaller size (each is 4 x 3 metre) under the title “Nang Non”. One was created by National Artist Chalermchai Kositpipat and the other created by various northern artists.

Fire destroys wooden house in Wichit
A fire has totally destroyed a wooden house and storage area in Wichit yesterday. The estimate value of damages is around 300,000 baht. Wichit Police were notified of the fire in Soi Thep Anusorn in Wichit at 2pm yesterday.

Man found hanged in room in Koh Kaew
A Thai man has been found hanged inside a room in Koh Kaew over the weekend. Police and rescue workers arrived at the man’s accommodation to find the body of a man who was later identified as 27 year old Damrong Manjit from Ranong.

Two die in Pattaya ferry engine room tragedy
by Theerawat Thongma and Dethawee Theewarangkool Two workers have died and another three remain in critical condition after allegedly inhaling toxic fumes when they were cleaning a boat-restaurant’s engine room. The vessel was anchored at a pier off Chon Buri province yesterday. Muang Pattaya precinct superintendent Pol Colonel Apichai Krobphetch led a rescue team to head tot he scene of the incident at 11.30am.
