Drug arrest statistics have shown that the use kratom is on the rise in Phuket followed closely by methamphetamine pills and crystal methamphetamine. Phuket’s Vice Governor Snith says, “We have found that kratom is the number one drug seized in Phuket. Even though our officers are strictly enforcing the law, arresting suspects and seizing this drug in large quantities, kratom is still being smuggled into Phuket.

Reaction from friends and netizens was swift – they asked… “What era is this?” condemning the email and the company. The announcement goes on to state, “If they wish, they can apply for visa (sic.) at the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur but at least 4 weeks must be allowed for the visa to be processed.” Fall out from this was reported as far back as September last year.

Police in Samut Prakan province, just south east of central Bangkok city, have seized a car and some 500 motorcycles in a crack down on road racing last night (Friday). Pol Maj-General Surachet Hakpal said police from 14 police stations in Samut Prakan set up road checkpoints to check for vehicles that were illegally modified for racing.
