Grenville Fordham, commodore of the Ao Chalong Yacht Club (ACYC), informed members of the club of Mr Brindley’s passing with the following announcement: „It is with great regret that I have to inform you that one of ACYC’s staunchest supporters and valued members, Bob Brindley, passed away on Sunday evening.“ „According to his son, Steve, Bob knew it was time and had contacted all his family and friends to say goodbye.
PHUKET: A small group of Phuket royalists gathered at Phuket Provincial Hall to show their opposition to efforts by the Nitirat group of scholars in Bangkok to amend Chapter 2 of the Constitution and article 112 of the Criminal Code, which deal with lese majeste. PHUKET: Phuket residents will have to wait until tomorrow or Friday before they can get their hands on the new 50-baht banknotes released nationwide today. The new-look 50-baht notes, announced by Bank of Thailand Governor Dr Prasarn Trairatvorakul last week, will not be available in Phuket until tomorrow at the earliest, banks on the island have told the Phuket Gazette. The new 50-baht note is being released ahead of its 20, 100, 500 and 1,000-baht counterparts, which are due to be brought into full circulation before the end of 2026.
