Social Development and Human Security Minister Pol General Adul Saengsingkaew said yesterday that people hated hearing unkind words from family members. The most-harmful words and phrases cited in the survey in descending order were: “Die”, “Bastard”, “You should never have been born”, “You’re the problem”, “You are not as good as other children”, “You are irritating”, “You are a curse”, “Don’t even try” and “The child is rotten like the parents”.

    Whale shark family spotted near Koh Hong, Krabi

    Weerasak Srisajang, Chief of Than Bok Khorani National Park, has revealed that three whale sharks have been spotted yesterday afternoon (November 15) by national park officers during their survey after getting some reports of sharks swimming near the area recently. The three whale sharks were swimming together near Koh Hong, which is the largest number of whale sharks found at the same time in the area.

    DSI visits Laypang Beach to recover encroached land from illegal businesses

    An earlier attempt to remove Tony Restaurant from Laypang Beach in April 2016. The Director General of DSI, Pol Col Paisit Wongmuang, and the Deputy Director General, Pol Lt Col Prawut Wongsinil, along with their team and local authorities, visited Laypang Beach today (November 16) to give notice to the business operators who still occupy the land. The direction is to move out within 30 days.

    Myanmar security forces slit the throats of Muslim Rohingya and burned victims alive, watchdogs said in a report on Wednesday that cited mounting evidence of genocide against the minority group. The report by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and Southeast Asia-based Fortify Rights documents “widespread and systematic attacks” on Rohingya civilians between October 9 and December of last year, and from August 25 of this year.
