  • Weather warnings out for mid-week

    The Meteorological Department is warning people living in the East and Lower North-east regions of Thailand to be mindful of rain-related dangers. The TMD is forecasting heavy rains in those regions until September 29. Bangkok and adjacent provinces are expecting rain to fall on 40 per cent of the area today. The weather bureau has also issued warnings for fishermen in the Andaman Sea, including the waters around Phuket, saying waves could reach two metres in height from September 27 to 29.

    The British cave expert who was part of the international rescue team helping to bring the 13 Mu Pa footballers out of the Tham Luang caves in July, has sued Tesla founder Elon Musk for calling him a “pedo guy” and a “child rapist”, amongst other insults in a series of Tweets.” The defamation suit has been filed in LA by Vernon Unsworth after the very public spat between the two. It followed Musk travelling to Thailand and offering to assist in rescue efforts. He brought along a ‘mini submarine’ and showed it to the local rescuers who dismissed it as inappropriate for the rescue at hand.

Three suspects have been arrested in two separate cases with 780 kilograms of kratom seized at the Phuket Checkpoint during the weekend. On Saturday (September 15), a team of officers at the Phuket checkpoint arrested 38 year old Wichan Kraikaew from Songkhla
